Here’s just a quick sneak peek from Breanne and Rob’s Wedding this past weekend. These two crazy kids had a very stylish, retro, rocker glam wedding. I don’t have a photo of the couple, who I spent 11 months planning with yet but keep an eye out for them in the next few weeks. I am looking forward to the awesome pics taken by one of my faves,  Allison Stahl coming soon, but in the meantime check out just a few from my personal camera!

NACE Event at Scott's Seafood and LeRivage on the River

For those of you who don’t know, I currently volunteer on the Board of Directors for  Sacramento NACE (National Association for Catering Executives)  as the Program Chair and am involved in planning our monthly networking/educational events. Our most recent event was held at Scott’s Seafood and LeRivage on the River this past Tuesday and I have to say it was one of my favorites this year!

It was a beautiful afternoon on the river, which was enhanced by the refreshing and unique floral arrangements and accents provided by Audrey of Botanica Floral Designs. I have to say that each collaborative effort that Audrey and I enter into becomes something even more incredible than I could ever expect! She and I tend to feed off of one another, coming to an end result that is nothing less than spectacular. If you are in the process of planning your honeymoon, you MUST check out this new site that I heard about yesterday on The Today Show! I like the fact that it has a weather feature and can be accessed from your iPhone. It’s good for all types of travel, but I thought it would be good to share with those of you who are planning your honeymoon. Here is the article from TodayShow.com!

Most serious travelers carry a folder with printouts of their flight, car, and restaurant reservations. Instead of printing them out, just forward the reservations to plans@tripit.com and the Web site’s “itinerator” does the rest. Everything is organized in one place, and the itinerator automatically fetches the weather forecasts and maps that you’ll need to be totally prepared. Then the information can be printed, accessed on an iPhone and shared with friends. Even cooler, a social networking feature means that Tripit will alert you if you are about to cross paths with one of your buddies who is also signed up with the service. So if you and one of your old friends happen to have a layover in the same airport at the same time, you’ll know beforehand and be able to meet up.

Hung and Eileen's Vietnamese Engagement Ceremony

The ceremony took place on August 1st, and as tradition goes, it all started at the future brides’ house with the receiving of traditional gifts and dowries from the grooms’ family. Eileen was gorgeous in her custom made dress and AWESOME hair and makeup by Image Provocateur!

The ceremony continued at the grooms’ families’ home, with tons of food and the obvious blending of the families taking place. Although it was not as traditional as in some cases, all of the elements were there and it was a beautiful day!
